At a plenary on Tuesday 27 march, 2018 Senator Yusuf Yusuf raised a point of order pointing to the former army chief noting that Danjuma raised important issues that should be debated and investigated.
Reacting to the senators point of order, the senate president, Bukola Saraki placed it on voice vote after the matter turned controversial.
But since the matter raised a huge confusion in the house the senate president ruled to favour the ayes as he said the matter will be debated on Wednesday 28 march, 2018.
Recall that the former army chief, Theophilus Danjuma at the convocation of the Taraba State University last week urged Nigerians to defend themselves from killings across the country.
