BREAKING: Residence flee Niger Delta LGA over Boko Haram planned attack

The residence of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has expressed fears over an audio tape of Boko Haram planning an attack on the city on the 1st and 4th of October, 2020.

The rumored planned attack by the Boko Haram insurgent is said to take place on the 1st and 4th of October, 2020.

Ikot Ekpene Local government council boss, Hon. Uyime Etim in a press release via his Facebook Page on Tuesday, 29th September, 2020 said that residence can go about their normal business as security agents are on top of the situation.

The council boss also urge residence to report any funny movements in their respective environment.

"The attention of Ikot Ekpene Local government Council has been drawn to an audio recording on social media platforms warning residents of the area and it's environs to be wary as Boko Haram insurgent are already on ground in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area to execute planned attack on the area on 1st and 4th October, 2020.

"After due analysis of the audio, security situation and the need to allay public anxiety, the councils administration, under the leadership of Obong (Hon). Uyime Etim, urges residents to go about their normal businesses as the security agents are on top of the situation.

"However, any person with useful information in respect of this subject should please reach the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) with this number: 08064980095.

PDP moves to take Lagos State, said to end Godfatherism in Nigeria Politics

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos State chapter said the party's recent win in Edo State has given them assurance of winning Lagos State.

The Lagos State Chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in a statement on Sunday 20th September, 2020 through it's spokesperson, Taofik Gani while congratulating Governor, Godwin Obaseki said that the party's victory has lifted their spirits also to take Lagos State.

Gani also said that it is time to end political godfatherism in Lagos State as it is now done in Edo State State.

"To us in PDP Lagos State, we have grasped from the well-deserved victory of Godwin Obaseki, the renewed commitment, and resoluteness. 

"Our effort is to also win Lagos State to end godfatherism and imposition in Lagos politics. As a matter of fact, we are now more than ever before, fired up to win Lagos State." He said.




There is no more APC what we have is respect for Buhari - Okorocha fumes

The former governor of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha has opened up on the present state of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Senator Rochas Okorocha while address newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, 20th September, 2020 lamented on the crises rocking the leadership of the All Progressive Party(APC).

The former governor reacting to the party's loose in the just concluded election in Edo State said the party, APC is no more as some members are in the party just for the respect they have for President Muhammadu Buhari.

"Now the founding fathers of the part are relegated to the backgrounds and people are coming with different interests making us play the same kind of politics that PDP played.

"There is no more APC, what we have is the respect for President Muhammadu Buhari, that is what is keeping us together. What we have is our respect for the person of President Buhari and we still believe that something can be done. 

"That trust and respect is what we still call APC, outside that, respect for President Buhari and the trust and belief that he could wake up one day and correct all these injustices and make it fine. 

"This is the only thing that is keeping the APC, if not that, I don’t think there is anything like APC because people are beginning to get fed up. Again, PDP is not even better, the party has its own challenges." Senator Okorocha said.


Edo2020: Ize Iyamu looses to Gov. Godwin Obaseki with 84,336 votes

INEC finally announces Gov. Godwin Obaseki winner in the just concluded Edo State gubanatorial election.

Announcing the final result from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 

The People's Democratic Party(PDP) candidate, Gov. Godwin Obaseki scored, 307,955 votes.

While the All Progressive Congress(APC) candidate, Ize Iyamu scored 223,619

The Commission on its website allowed citizen view uploaded results through a sign up process that enables everyone view and upload results.

EdoDecide: Gov. Obaseki cries for help "They're rigging me out"

The Candidate of the People's Democratic Party(PDP) and the incumbent governor of Edo State has raised an alarm over an ongoing rigging in most part of his strongholds.

Governor, Godwin Obaseki who lamented bitterly through his Special Adviser, Crusoe Osagie revealed that there is an ongoing deliberate election manipulation in areas where he has strongholds.

In a statement on Saturday to Daily Post, Osagie said, "Suddenly card readers are not working in areas where Governor Godwin Obaseki is very popular.

"Voters are being disenfranchised and we are constrained to say that this is sabotage. Specifically, in Oredo Ward 1, Unit 20 and other places where the governor is clearly popular, the card readers are not working.

"The independent Electoral Commission (INEC) should prove to Edo voters that it can conduct a credible election in Edo State".
