Bandits attacked Kano State governor's convoy

The governor of Kano State has been attacked by bandits while returning from Zamfara State.

Governor Ganduje's convoy was said to be attacked by bandits in their number who blocked the high way and open fire immediately they saw the governor's convoy.

The attack which took place on Tuesday evening had left three(3) police officers injured while trying to counter the killers in a gun battle.

Sources say that the governor had traveled to Zamfara State to join other party members welcome his counterpart, the governor of Zamfara State into the All Progressives Party(APC), on his way returning to Kano State that his convoy was attacked by bandits.


UK Government finally reacts to Nnamdi Kanu arrest

The government of the United Kingdom has finally reacted to the arrest and extradition of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria by the Nigerian government.

The UK government on tuesday 29th June, 2021 through British High Commission spoke person in Abuja said that the leader of the proscribed group IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in UK nor face extradition in UK.

The spokesperson, Mr. Hurlock in an email sent to media platforms on Tuesday confirmed Nnamdi Kanu arrest by the Nigerian Federal Government. 

"We are aware of reports that Nnamdi Kanu has been detained by the Federal Government of Nigeria. We can also confirm that Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the UK for extradition purposes". He said.

Meanwhile the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami had revealed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and extradited to Nigeria on Sunday 27th June, 2021 to continue his trial.


Nnamdi Kanu mostly to be arrested in Kenya not extradited by the UK Government - Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri an aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan has revealed that the British Government never extradited Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria.

Reno Omokri in his verified Facebook page stated that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) was never extradited by the UK Interpol confirming this from a reliable source in the UK Government.

The former aide also stated that according to the official whose name was not mentioned said that Nnamdi Kanu was "almost definitely arrested in Kenya" noting that "it was an illegal detention."


"I just spoke with a UK top Government source. Nnamdi Kanu was NOT arrested or extradited by the British. According to this official, Kanu was "almost definitely arrested in KENYA" and "it was an illegal detention". I won't reveal my source, but I have him on record.

"For those who do not know how these things operate, the United Kingdom is a civilised nation that is governed by the rule of law. No one, no matter how wanted, can be arrested and extradited without extradition hearings before a court, especially when that person is a British citizen.

"There are Nigerians who are currently fighting their extradition to Nigeria in court in the UK. They cannot leave the UK on their own volition or on the request of the Nigerian Government until their hearings are exhausted.

"If they loose at the court of first instance, they have a right of appeal. I repeat, Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested or extradited by the British government. 

"Also it is a lie that he boarded a plane and came to Nigeria by himself. That is just propaganda. #TableShaker". He said.

BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu arrested in UK returned back to Nigeria to continue trial

The leader of the proscribe group, Indigenous People of Biafra{IPOB} has been arrested by the UK Interpol in collaboration with the Nigerian security agency.

The Attorney General of the Federation and minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN made the disclosure in Abuja on Tuesday 29th June, 2021.

Mr. Malami said that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was arrested in UK on Sunday 27th June, 2021 and brought back to Nigeria same day.

Describing how Nnamdi Kanu was arrested, Mr. Malami revealed that efforts made by Nigeria security agencies and the UK Interpol lead to his arrest.

Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami further stated that the leader of the proscribe group (IPOB) will be taking to the Federal High Court, Abuja for the continuation of his trial and charges which are on terrorism, treasonable felony, management of an unlawful society and unlawful possession of fire arms.

FOREIGN: Court sentences former South African President, Jacob Zuma to jail

The former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma has been sentenced to fifteen(15) months in prison.

Reports have it that the former President, Jacob Zuma has failed to appear before the court in several invitation.

The judge stated that the president's approach towards the court is rebukable as the court can no longer tolerate his provocative approach.

"To Mr. Zuma specifically, his contempt is rebukable in the strongest sense. In determining the length of the sentence, the majority has considered the unique circumstances of this matter, the nature of the breach and the extent to which the breach is ongoing.

"Not only has Zuma failed to dispute the contempt of court, he has also failed to contest the degree of the contempt. Instead he has aggravated it.

"The majority judgement orders and unsuspended sentence of imprisonment for a period of 15months." The Acting Chief Justice, Sisi Khampepe said.

After God is Buhari, he decides where there should be light - Gov. Uzodinma

The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has thrown his weight on the happenings in the Southeast.

In a video clip seen on Monday the governor said that after God in Nigeria it is President Mohammadu Buhari noting that the President decides who should have light or not in the country.

"After God in Nigeria, the next person is Buhari. He has the power to dictate where there should be light or not and it happens.

"Why have we decided that there shouldn't be light in our place while others have light? The governor lamented.

"He will stay there until his eight years tenure is over, he will develop his place and help his people and leave while we remain here crying.

"So, let's stop wasting time and start talking in the same tone as others. There is nothing like being with the ruling party.

Condemning the ongoing attacks in the Southeast, the governor stated that, "You can be at Aso Rock and somebody will be inside the bush at Okwuodo throwing stone, what is the business of the person in Aso Rock with the stone you're throwing from Okwodo?

"The stone thrown from Okwuodo has no effect on the person in Aso Rock. The person in Aso Rock will stay there, help his people and go his way." The governor said.

FOREIGN: Saudi Arabia inaugurates it's first Hydrogen Fueling Station{Photos}

Saudi Arabia has just launched it's first Hydrogen Fueling Station in Dhahran.

Hydrogen fuel vehicles are said to now drive into the station to fill their tanks with water as their only discharge.

The Saudi authority said that with hydrogen fueled vehicles significant contribution to a clean, secure and affordable energy will take place in the nearest future.

The terrorists group, Boko Haram has pledge allegiance to the Islamic State West Africa Province.

In a short video clip, a member of the Boko Haram terrorist group said in hausa that it has join forces with the Islamic State West Africa Province(ISWAP) to fight all the unbelievers.

"We will continue to fight against the unbelievers as long as we are together" he said in hausa.

Sources had gathered that since the dismissal of Boko Haram terrorist leader, Abubakar Shakau, the sect group has since been divided.

This is coming barely days since the Nigerian Army said it will be concluding it's operation in the Northeast where Boko Haram has terrorised over the years.

China has launched it's first electrified railway on Friday 25th June, 2021.

The railway is said to link two capital region capitals, Lhasa with the city of Nyingchi. It is also gathered that official operation has began on the pleatau region.

JUST IN: President Buhari cancels medical trip to London

President Mohammadu Buhari has postponed his medical trip scheduled for today Friday 25th June, 2021.

In a statement confirmed by the President media aide today, Femi Adesina said that the President will no longer be traveling to London today Friday 25th June, 2021.

He made this known today in Abuja adding that a new date will be announced.

Recall that Femi Adesina had earlier announced the President departure to London for medical check-up which was to take place today.

1996 Olympic gold medalist gifted 3-bedroom house

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has gifted a three bedroom house to former Olympic gold medalist, Chioma Ajunwa.

Chioma Ajunwa who won an Olympic gold medal in 1996 is now the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.

The former Olympic gold medalist received the surprise house documents from the governor with shock as she boosted in tears and lots of excitement.

President Buhari set to visit London for Medical Check-up

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is said to leave Nigeria to London for Medical check-up.

The President media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina revealed that, the President will be traveling to London on Friday 25th June, 2021 and will return on the second week of July 2021.

Recall that President Buhari had return to Nigeria from London barely three(3) months and he's said to go on medical vacation again.

College of Nursing Student suspended for not greeting President Buhari

A student of Borno State College of Nursing and Midwifery has been suspended for not greeting the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari.

The letter stated that, the student had failed to welcome and acknowledge the presence of the President on the day he visited.

It recalled that the President had visited the State on the 17th June, 2021 and the student refused to welcome the President thereby placing the said student on a one week suspension starting from 21th June, 2021.

The letter reads.
"You are hereby suspended from the college for one week with effect from today 21th June, 2021 for disobedience of executive order to welcome the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari GCFR, GCON on the 17th June, 2021.

"You are expected to return back to college on the 28th of June, 2021 along with your parents or guidance."

Recall that the popular Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha has been accused of sexual assault of a little girl captured by a CCTV footage which had gone viral on different social media platform.

The Nollywood actor over time has pleaded not guilty over the sexual assault allegation levelled against him in the court of law.

Twitter Ban: Former US President, Donald Trump congratulates Buhari on Twitter ban

Former President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari over recent Twitter ban in the country.
Donald Trump in a statement on Tuesday night said that President Muhammadu Buhari has done the right thing by banning the social media platform in his country.

The former President stressed that, this is exactly what he would have done while he was in office as US president when the social media platform (Twitter) deleted his tweets and blocked his account.

"Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter, because they banned their President"

The former President also called on world leaders to ban Twitter and Facebook as he look forward to a better platform that will outshine Twitter and Facebook.


BREAKING: US cautions Nigeria over recent Twitter ban in the country

The US government has finally reacted to the recent ban of Twitter from the Nigerian government.

In a statement issued on Saturday 5th June,2021 said that the Federal Government of Nigeria ban on Twitter goes against citizens right to freedom of speech.

It also stated that with the ban, Nigeria will be not be taken seriously internationally and that it will affect investors in the country.

The statement reads, "Nigeria constitution provides for freedom of expression. The Government's recent #Twitterban undermines citizens ability to exercise their fundamental freedoms and sends a poor message to it's citizens, investors and businesses.

"Banning social media and curbing every citizen's ability to seek, receive, and impact information undermines fundamental freedoms.

"As President Biden has stated, our need for individual expression, open public conversion and accountability has never been greater.

"The part to a more secure Nigeria lies in more, not less communication, alongside concerned efforts towards unity, peace and prosperity."
