The honourable speaker house of representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara has met with the Roman catholic father, Pope Francis.

The speaker expressed joy over his meeting with the Pope stating that it is an honour to meet with Pope Francis.


Honourable speaking stated that he was surprised to have find out that the pope was well informed over all the happenings in the country, Nigeria.


He also stated that His Holiness, Pope Francis prayed for peace in the country Nigeria.


"Today, I had the great honour of meeting His Holiness, Pope Francis. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he is well informed about happenings in Nigeria and prays for peace in the country."

He said.
