Pastor E.A Adeboye the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has visited Benue State.
The clergyman on Friday visited the state where Fulani herdsmen had killed over 76 people in a deadly raid.
Pastor Adeboye said God had instructed him to visit the State. He made the statement in markudi revealing that there was need for him to visit as it is an instruction from God.
He also said that he was very pained and wept when he saw the people weeping noting that Benue State is very very close to his heart.
The clergyman was received by the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
He said:
"Benue State is very very close to my heart, I had felt every pain you people felt and I wept when I saw you weeping but of course no man of God will see a mass burial anywhere and not feel the pains of the people affected.
"We want these killings to stop. Happily we know someone who can stop it he is the Almighty God, he does not fail nor compromise.
"He is the God of all, we will continue to call on Him to fight this battle and you can be assured that victory will be certain.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had visited the State earlier to sympathise with the state over the killings by the herdsmen.
