The Nigeria police has been ranked the worst police in the world following the 2016 World Internal Security and police index (WISPI) report.
The results which was obtained through the Trends in internal security and policing, Trends by Domain: capacity, process and legitimacy and outcomes.
The cable reports that the World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI) was released by two bodies. 1. The international Police Science Association, 2. Institutes for Economics and Peace.
The two bodies revealed that terrorism has been one of the greatest threat to internal security noting that terrorism increased sporadically over the last three years between the year 2012 and 2014 living more than 62,000 people killed in terrorist attacks.
The bodies also revealed that the highest rise of terrorist attack that killed thousands of people occurred last year in Nigeria the worst performing country on the World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI).
On the index, the Nigeria Police performed worst followed by the Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood has rejected the report stating that Nigeria Police Force is the best in Africa.
