The federal government is in the position to produce my client, Nnamdi Kanu in court on the next sitting - Kanu Lawyer fumes

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Ejiofor has raised an alarm regarding the whereabout of his client, Nnamdi Kanu and ask the federal government to produce his client.

Council to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Ejiofor has called on the federal government to produce his client on the said adjourned date in court.

Ejiofor made the disclosure in an interview with Vanguard news paper as he said the whereabout of his client still remains unknown to him.

Ejiofor accused the federal government of using the military code name, Operation Python Dance 2 to invade the home of his client,Nnamdi Kanu stating that before the invasion his client called him and told him about the military presence in his environment and after that he has not heard again from his client.

"The fact is that they are in position to produce him at the next adjourned date. It is public knowledge that my client had before his house was invaded, always made himself available for trial.

"He never evaded trial as he made it known that he was ready. If he wanted to jump bail, he would have done so immediately he was released from prison. But he did not run.

"The last time I spoke with my client was the day his house was invaded by soldiers who he said were shooting sporadically. Since then, I have not heard from my client again.

"If he his alive, they should tell the court on that day, they will not only explain to the trial court, but they will also produce the soldiers that went to his home to attack him."

This is also as Ejiofor said that he would not be surprised if the federal government moves against the people who stood surety for Nnamdi Kanu as the whole thing lies in the hands of the federal government.
