Mamoudou Gassama a 22 years old African immigrant has been hailed as a hero in Paris.
Gassama the African immigrant left everyone in shock as he climbed a four storey building with his hands to rescue a dangling little boy in Paris.
The incident which took place on Saturday at northern Paris, Mamoudou Gassama was captured on a camera climbed the four storey building going to get the little.
A fire service spokesman stated that, "Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child."
Reacting to reporters 24 hours after the rescue, Gassama stated that he acted without thinking.
His words;
"I saw all these people shouting and cars sounding their horns. I climbed up like that and thank God I saved the child."
"I felt afraid when I saved the child when we went into the living room, I started to shake, I could hardly stand up, I has to sit down." He said.
The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo praised Gassama on her Twitter handle for his brave act referring Gasaama as the Spider-Man of the 18th.
"He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago dreaming of building his life here. I told him that his horoic act is an example to all citizens and that the city of Paris will obviously be very keen to support him in his efforts to settle in France." She said.
The French President, Emmanuel Macron today also honoured Gassama for his brave rescue. Recall that the French President had invited Gassama to Elysée Palace to meet with him.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested the father of the child for questioning for not taking proper care of the child when due in court. A judicial source revealed.
