Breaking: Monkeys swallow 70 million in the farm belonging to Northern Senators.

A Nigerian northern senator has raised an alarm over 70 million naira swallowed by monkeys.


Barely two weeks of an alleged mysterious snake that had swallowed 36 million naira from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board's vault.
Report has it that N70m which was handed over by the 7th senate to the 8th senate of the Northern Senators Forum has been swallowed in the farm of a high ranking senator.

The report was revealed to news men by Senator Shehu Sani just few minutes after the Northern Senators Forum chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu was removed as the chairman of the forum.

It was gathered, Senator Abdullahi was accused of mismanaging 70 million naira belonging to the Northern Senators.

Senator Shehu Sani told news men that under the leadership of Abdullahi, the forum could not account for part of the money given to him from the 7th Assembly to the 8th Assembly.

Senator Sani said, it was alleged that some monkeys swallowed the money. Sani also stated that the money was swallowed by monkeys at the senators farm.

He said:

"There are some things that some of my colleagues cannot say but I'm not used to holding back what is the truth. When we resumed as senators, Senator Ahmed Lawan tendered the sum of 70 million naira to the 8th senate.

"That 70 million naira was monies gathered by Northern Senators from the 7th senate. So it was handed over to the 8th senators from northern Nigeria under the 8th senate.

"I think this country is becoming a huge joke. First of all it was the rodent that drove away the President and we now have snakes consuming about 36 million naira.

"And now you have monkeys."

Senator Sani said.


Obasanjo attends church service with Goodluck Jonathan preaches reconciliation

Former president Obasanjo while on a visit to Bayelsa State attended church service with former president Goodluck Jonathan at his home town, Otueke.


The former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday 18th February, 2018 worshiped at Otueke Diocese, Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State alongside former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Obasanjo who has been in the State for some days commissioning projects been carried out by the governor, Seriake Dickson's government.


The former President, Chief Obasanjo while speaking in the church said,

"What touched me most in this short gathering is the children coming forward and singing the welcome song and dressing in the attire of different cultures, different tribes and different linguistic group in Nigeria.

"And as for me that underpins the homily you Rev. Oruwari gave to us reconciliation. Unless we preach, we teach and practise reconciliation, we will not have peace.

"And unless we have peace, we will not have development and unless we have development, we will not have growth and if we do not have growth, we will not come out of poverty.

"Even if some of us are exceptionally lucky and they are able to get out, the majority of us will be ridden in poverty and that is not what God has ordained for this country.

"What God has ordained for this country is for this country to be a land of flowing with milk and honey, a land of plenty and a land of prosperity."

The ex-president while commending former president Goodluck Jonathan described him as "My brother, my colleague and my friend stating that it was a privilege to worship in particular with Goodluck Jonathan in the Church.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan while giving his speech commended former President Olusegun Obasanjo for visiting him and worshiping with him in the church in his home town.

He said;

"It is a unique opportunity, Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo promised that he was going to visit my village when I visited his hometown after leaving office.

"But I did not know it was going to come at this time. But we have to thank Governor Seriake Dickson because Obasanjo was to come here only once.

"The Governor insisted that immediately he comes in, Obasanjo would come and see us, and that before he leave, he will also worship with us."

On the part of the Governor, Seriake Dickson thanked former president Obasanjo for coming to the State to inaugurate massive projects carried out and completed by his administration.

The Governor also said, there is need for peace to rain in the country noting that without peace, no meaningful progress could be archived.

Herdsmen: Niger Delta Boils as herdsmen attack Senator Imoke community in Cross River State one killed

The former governor of Cross River state Senator Liyel Imoke's community has been reportedly attacked by the Fulani herdsmen living one person dead.


The community of former governor of Cross river state, Liyel Imoke has been attacked by the Fulani herdsmen. Vanguard reports on Monday that youths of the community had crash with the herdsmen over cows destroying farmlands.
It was gathered that an APC councillorship aspirant was shot dead over clash between Fulani herdsmen and some community youths over killing of a cow.

The report have it that, one of the herdsmen claimed that some youths from the community had killed one of its cow according to an eye witness identified as Joseph Ugbor stated that this resulted to a fight that led to the killing of the aspirant.
He said:

"The conflict attracted security personnel from Ugep, Yakurr local government area who swiftly moved in to put the situation under control by arresting and detaining some youths and elders from Itigidi.

"These herdsmen have no regards for our land and crops. They think they have a right over our land and can take their cows anywhere.

"What has just happened in Itigidi is a pointer to this fact. We hope the government will swiftly wade into this matter before more liver are lost."

Joseph Ugbor said.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the arrest of the youths and elders has irked some youths prompting them to protest against what they termed "Illegal arrest and detaintion of their youths and elders by the police while orders had taken refuse in the bush.

Police public relation officer from the Cross River Police command, Ms Irene Ugbo said normalcy has been restored with the detach of Anti riot Policemen to the place. 

Shakau on the run dresses on blue or black hijad - Nigerian Army

The leader of the dreaded terrorist group Boko Haram, Abubakar Shakau is said to be on the run dressed as a woman wearing hijad.


The Nigerian army has stated that the Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shakau is now on the run dressed as a woman on hijad attire either on blue or black coloured.
According to the Director of the army public relations, Brig-Gen Sani Usman disclosed that the leader of terrorist Boko Haram group, Abubakar Shakau is always dressing as a woman on hijad to excape from the military and this is coming from a reliable information.

He said:

"While concerted efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the fugitive terrorist leader, we implore also members of the public especially the residents of Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe States to be more vigilant.

"Be security conscious and be on the lookout of Abubakar Shakau and other terrorists that might disguise as women to escape.

"He is desperately trying to escape the theatre disguised as a woman dressed in hijad.

"We reliably gathered that to avoid detention Abubakar Shekau alternates between blue and black coloured hijads. He was last seen in a black hijad."

The army also disclosed that, the reason why the terrorist leader Shakau is on the run is as a result of concerted of troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on the present ongoing clearance of the Boko Haram terrorist groups through the Operation DEEP PUNCH 2.


Boko Haram: "I am tired of this calamity, it is better I die and go to rest in Paradise." - Shakau

The leader of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shakau in a video revealed how tired he has become and so needed rest in paradise.


In a recent video, the leader of the group stated that he is tired of the calamity melting on his group by the troops of the Nigerian arm forces recently destroying many hideouts of the groups in Sambisa forest.
He said:

"I am tired of this calamity, it is better I die and go to rest in paradise."

Meanwhile, premiumtimes reports that in the 10 minutes video delivered in Hausa language, the leader of the group, Abubakar Shakau pleaded with his none combatant members across the country (Nigeria) to pick up arms and help him fight until he drops dead.

The reports also stated that, the leader of the dreaded terrorist group couldn't hold his frustration on the continued hostility and loss of his supporters to the Nigerian arm forcing fighting the group.

Shakau in the video said the latest claim by the military that the group had been sent packing from the groups hideout (Sambisa forest) was false.

The terrorist group leader said that he is still in charge and controlling the territory (Sambisa forest). Accusing the Cameroonian soldiers being involved in the operation Lafiya Dole against his group but promised his men will continue fighting.

With a sad and broken voice while issuing statements, Shakau is seen with two armed men.

JUST IN: Angry Benin youths kill police officer burn down police vans over death of a man

Report have it that a man who is to get married this saturday has been shot dead by a police officer in Benin for refusing to pay 100 naira.


It was gathered that the taxi driver refused to settle the police officer 100 naira and it led to argument between the taxi driver and the police officer when the officer pulled the trigger resulting to the death of the young man.
Sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity also revealed that the man happen to be involved in the incident is to get married on Saturday 10 February, 2018.

This, resulted to crisis in the city of Benin, Edo State as angry mob kills the police officer immediately also burning the Nigerian Police Force patrolling vans.
