South East Governors Forum Condemns army invading Nnamdi Kanu's residence

The South East governors has condemned the recent army invasion at the Ipob leader residence, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that resulted into injuring some of the agitators and military officers.



Recal that some military officers parading the south eastern part of Nigeria on Sunday 10th September, 2017 invaded the house of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu resulting to clash between the agitators and the Nigerian military officers.



The governors from the south east has condemned the act of the military saying, the south east governors had earlier last month met to bring a lasting order and peace from the Biafra agitators.

The governors also lamented as the current invasion can poss more fears for the unity of the country. The statement which was delivered by the governors spokesman, Mike Udah said at the forums Secretariat in Abakiliki, Ebonyi State said.

"The south east governors had held meetings in order that the agitations by pro-Biafra group do not escalate. The recent invasion of the home of Nnamdi Kanu does not speak well for the unity of the nation, it is indeed worrisome.

"Meanwhile, efforts are been made by the governors to meet and nip such development in the bud."

He said.
