United Nation finally wade in following Some Northern youths declaration asking all Igbo's to leave the North

The united nation has wade in fellowing some northern groups asking all Igbo's residing in the northern part of the country, Nigeria to leave before 1st of October 2017 or face the full wrath of the North.



Reacting to the rising tension in the north and other parts of the country the united nation called on every ethnic and relious body that made up the federation called Nigeria to tolerate each other and called for oneness among the people stressing that UN is ready to help the federal government in bringing peace and unity in the country.


In a statement made by the United nation coordinator in Nigeria he said:

"We have to work together to resolve peacefully any concern that different groups in the country may have.

"I am heartened by reaction of leaders from all over the country condemning this ultimatum.

"UN calls for tolerance and a spirit of togetherness in transperancy to address the concern of all the citizens in a peaceful manner. Nigeria is a great country with immense potentials to build the welfare of its population and lead Africa in meeting the sustainable development goal.

"This can only be achieved in an atmosphere of the rule of law and peace Where all citizens live happily irrespective of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.

"I commend the federal and state government, youths and civil society leaders, security agencies, cultural and religious leaders for their efforts to promote peace in the country.

"The UN is ready to continue supporting Nigeria to build an enduring democracy in peace, prosperity and respect for diversity."

He said.
